Mashed Potato- A treat for everyone

Do you have a party around the corner but you are low on budget? Do you plan to invite your family or friends for a dinner but don’t know what to serve them with your roasted chicken? Or do you feel confused every day in preparing your kid’s lunchbox?

Here is a quick, easy, and a budget friendly recipe for you all. This food is a favorite of most and all with praises to its inventor, we call it Mashed Potato.

Mashed Potato is the food that makes potatoes shine in their full glory. Who can ignore that buttery, creamy and rich potato delight that melt in your mouth as soon as you take a bite? While mashed potato is served as an everyday side dish, it can be found anywhere from holiday parties to weddings and luxurious events. No matter when, how, where or how it is served, Mashed Potato is THE BEST and can satisfy any palate

Mashed Potato is loved by people of all ages and you can make it anytime without any worry. When you can get such creamy, tasty food on a low budget and with minimum effort then why should you go to fancy restaurants? All you need is some good potato and a good recipe.

As they say that a Mashed potato is the candy of all vegetables, here is my version of a tasty, yet simple mashed potato. This is one of the quickest, easiest, and yummiest recipes that I am sure when you try; your family will love it and ask for more. Let's get into the recipe and see what you need to make perfect Mashed Potato.


Recipe

4 lbs of potato (peeled and cut in big pieces)

8 cups of water

1 tablespoon of salt

¾ cup of whole milk or half and half

1 tablespoon of onion powder

1 tablespoon of garlic powder

½ cup of grated parmesan cheese

3 tablespoons of butter

Salt and pepper to taste


Topping

1 tablespoon of butter cut in tiny pieces

1-2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley or 1 tablespoon of dry parsley flakes


Instructions

In a large pot of boiling water cook potatoes until tender, drain well

Pre heat oven to 350°. Lightly butter a baking dish (approximately).

Place drained potatoes in a large bowl and mash with a potato masher, then add 3 tablespoons of butter and milk and beat until creamy.(If needed add a little more butter and or milk). Fold in onion, pepper and garlic powder mixture and grated parmesan cheese.

Spoon into prepared baking dish.

Top little pieces of butter and chopped parsley.

Bake for approximately 10 - 15 minutes .Let sit a couple of minutes before serving.
